Anna Vukovich

Anna Charlotte Vukovich, 95, formerly of Mannington, WV, died on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at St. Barbara’s Nursing Home. She was born August 12, 1920 in Brownton ,WV, a daughter of the late John Maddix and Anna Billie Maddix.

She is survived by her daughter, Michelle and Charlie Underwood II of Shinnston, WV; a granddaughter, Whitney and Dave Garner of Fairmont, WV; 3 great-grandchildren, Brooke Underwood of Pace, FL, Annabelle Garner of Fairmont, and Abagail Garner of Fairmont; one brother, Robert “Bob” Maddix of Belmar, NJ and Grafton; 2 sisters, Julie Williams of Belmar, NJ and Mary Alice and Carl Verney of Warren, OH; 2 sisters-in-law, Betty Maddix of Monongah and Mary Maddix of Cleveland, OH; several nieces and nephews.

Anna was preceded in death by her husband Michael Vukovich who died in 1983; grandson, Charles Underwood III; 5 siblings, Steven Maddix, Stanley Maddix, Helen Wolfe, George Maddix and John Maddix; sister-in-law, Mary Shuppe; several nieces and nephews.

Anna was a member of the St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Mannington. She enjoyed gardening and quilting.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, Mannington, WV on Friday, April 15, 2016 from 2-8pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 10am at St. Patrick’s Church with Father Vincy Illekcal officiating.
