She is survived by her son, William R. “Sam” Crouser of Mannington; a grandson, Matthew R. Crouser at home; 2 brothers, Roy K. “Buz” Bowers and wife Bonnie of Shinnston, and Gary R. Bowers and wife Beverly of Mannington; a brother-in-law, David L. Webb; a daughter, Kelly Ann Crouser Koptyra; a son, Peter Ray Crouser; a granddaughter, Cheyenne Dakota Koptyra; and a sister-in-law, Ann Blaker.

Jeanette was a member of the Downs United Methodist Church in Rachel.

In keeping with Jeanette’s final wishes, these were her final words she wanted to express:

“I want everyone who knew me to remember me as I was. My Heavenly Father gave me a rich, full life, doing exactly what I think He wanted me to do. I loved my neighbors and tried to help those who needed it. I volunteered my whole life, hoping to make life easier, safer and better for others, from being a Den Mother, Brownie Helper, children’s tutor, caring for ill family members, volunteering 18 years as an EMT and Paramedic with the MCRS, until age and infirmities made this impossible. I then joined the American Red Cross, first teaching First Aid and CPR, working on blood drives, then advancing to Disaster Services. For 12 years, I travelled all over the U.S. working with victims of disasters. It was the most profound experience possible, to really see what an impact you can make on a family’s life.
I also taught Disaster courses to train others to take our places. I have been blessed a thousand times over, through volunteering. When I could no longer travel, I found helping at the Assumption Food Pantry in Littleton a true joy. Instead of flowers, I want donations made to the charity of your choice, or better yet, donate a couple of hours of your time. The rewards are many times more than anything you could imagine. I tried to live by the Golden rule, but truly lived Ecclesiastes 11:1”

There will be no visitation or funeral services as it was Jeanette’s wishes to be cremated and returned to the ground which she came. In lieu of flowers, remember her wishes to make a donation to the charity of your choice, or donating a couple hours of your time. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV has been placed in care of her arrangements. On-line condolences may be left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
