Carolyn Sue Parrish Carpenter, age 67 of Mannington, WV went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1955 in Mannington, a daughter of the late James Edward Parrish and Ethel Pearl Parrish.
She is survived by her three sons, Donald Carpenter and wife Stacy of Rachel, Lucas Carpenter and companion Ashley Counts of Metz, and James Carpenter. Also surviving are four sisters, Linda Parrish and companion Roger Jones of Mannington, Shirley Carpenter of Mannington, Debra Pierson of Mannington, and Charlotte Henderson of Fairmont; two brothers, William Parrish of Monongah and Richard Ray Parrish and wife Edith of Fairmont; 18 grandchildren, Derrian, Joseph, Kasey, Shyanne, Zena, Chelsea, Ethan, Sammi, Dexter, Isaiah, Hayden, Brenton, Karedon, Olivia, Caleb, Amelia, Emalaya, and Ollie; 6 great-grandchildren, Athena, Bentley, Xander, Natalie, Colt and Anthony; and several nieces and nephews who love and will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her ex-husband Donald Carpenter; one daughter, Karen Sue Carpenter; and one sister-in-law, Paula Smallwood Parrish.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, West Virginia on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Friday, May 6, 2022 beginning at 11:00am with Evangelist Dr. Michael P. Reese officiating. Interment will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
