Charles Lee Schrader, 86 of Mannington died Sunday, August 10, 2014 in his home with his wife and his granddaughter, Carrie Ann, by his side from an extended illness. He was born August 27, 1927, son of the late Lemuel Birchie Schrader and Mildred S. Wright-Schrader.
He is survived by forever love, Deloris E. Schrader, having been married 66 years, and a very special granddaughter, Carrie Ann McDougal and husband Chad A. and great-grandchildren Emily, Spencer and Anna of Enterprise; a very special sister, Willa Jean Powell of Mannington; one daughter, Doris Ann (Pedro) Torres of NC; one son, Michael C. (Martha) Schrader of Mannington; seven grandchildren, Patti (Matt) Haught of NC, Charles (Stacy) Higginbotham of Texas, Amie Merrill of Mannington, John (Mellisa) Moffa of Fairmont, Nikki (Jason) Hall of NC and Shelley (Ryan) Kirkpatrick of Boothsville; 16 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Robert C. Schrader of Mannington and John W. (Barbara) Schrader of Missouri; several nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by one son, Charles Randy Schrader, one daughter Linda Lea Cross and one sister Helen L. Hayes of Waynesburg, PA, one brother-in-law, Robert L. Powell and one sister-in-law Virginia Mae Schrader.
Charles honorably served our nation during WWII in the United States Navy. He was retired from Eimco. He was a member of the Mannington Volunteer Fire Dept. for many years. He was a member of the Mannington Church of Christ.
Charles was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved his family get-togethers.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 from 2 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:00 a.m. with Evangelist Pete Cole officiating.
