David Eugene Ott, age 59 of Mannington, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at his residence. He was born February 11, 1958 at Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Charles (Gene) Ott and Martha Jean “Ninny” Haught Ott. He is survived by his wife of 39 years (May 5, 1978), Mary Reppard Ott of Mannington; three children, Joshua David Ott of Crownsville, MD, Justin Charles Ott and wife Erica Dawn of Farmington, and Amanda Kay Ott and significant other Lawrence Vincent of Worthington; three grandchildren, Destanee Nichole Cavey, Adysen Marie Kendall, and Kaya Dawn Ott; three sisters, Diana and Larry Hayes of Mannington, Mary Jane and Gary Soles of Fairmont, and Donna Haught and Brian Wilson of Mannington; one brother, Richard and Kim Ott of Mannington; several nieces and nephews and several extended close family. David was a member of UMWA at Grantown Mine, having worked there for ten years. He also worked at McNacan Auto Body in Maryland, USNAD dairy farm as a maintenance man, HVAC work, and a control tech in Maryland. He was a Baptist by Faith and enjoyed working on his tractor. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his daughter and was very fond of music. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vicky Dodd, First Exchange Bank, 11 West Main Street, Mannington, WV 26582. Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St Mannington on Sunday, November 12, 2017 from 6-8pm. Funeral services will be held in the Funeral Home on Monday at 11am with Reverend Rodney Kincaid officiating. Interment will be at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
