Donald Leo Snider, age 83, of Buffalo-Brink Rd, Mannington, passed away on Friday evening, Aug 28, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 24, 1932 at Mannington, a son of the late Lewis Ray Snider and Ethel Virginia Hayes Snider Dodd.

Survivors include two daughters, Virginia Sue Dean and Donita Christine Fordyce and her husband John , all of Mannington; a son, Mark Duane Snider and his wife Debbie of Dents Run; six grandchildren, Michelle Dean, Amanda Floyd and husband Mike, Stephanie Sprout and husband Eric, Jeremy Toland and wife Jamie, Elisha Sine and husband Jeff, and Brittany Hickman and husband Garrett; nine grandchildren, Allison and Emily Talkington, Alex and Haley Sprout, Trey and Olivia Toland, Dakota and Landon Sine and Baylee Hickman; a brother, James Franklin Snider of Lumberport; two sisters, Garnet Parrish of Ohio and Patsy Watson of Pine Grove, WV; a former son-in-law, Denzil Dean; and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by Susan Coogle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife: Gladys Madeline Riggs Snider on June 22, 1999, a son-in-law, Nick Toland; four sisters, Betty Spears, Jacqueline Spencer, Wanda Headley and Judith Hayes; and a brother who died in infancy.

Don retired from Carnegie Natural Gas Company at Mannington. He loved his animals, enjoyed farming and hunting. He was a member of the Oakhurst Church of Christ.

Don chose cremation as final disposition. There will be no Funeral Home viewing. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday, Sept 1, 2015 from 2:00-8:00 pm at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St.,
Mannington, WV. A Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 pm in the Funeral Home with Evangelist Craig Matheny officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Masters Funeral Home. On-line condolences may be left at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
