Douglas William Ashcraft, 73 of Idamay, WV passed away August 31, 2012 at Fairmont General Hospital. He was born April 6, 1939 at Mannington, WV a son of the late Howard and Lillie Ashley Ashcraft.
He is survived by his wife Mary Snyder Ashcraft of Idamay, WV; one daughter, Donna Menefee and husband Roy of Idamay, WV, and one son Richard Ashcraft and wife Tammy of Reedsville, WV; grandchildren, Miranda Pisino and husband Mike of Pittsburg, PA, Stacy Wright and husband Andrew of Princeton, WV, Bridgett, Donna and Madison Aschraft of Reedsville, WV; great-granddaughters, Marisa Pisino of Pittsburg, PA and Alex Wright of Princeton, WV; two brothers, Charles Ashcraft of Mannington, WV and Howard Ashcraft of Florida.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Ashcraft was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
Mr. Ashcraft was retired from Bethlehem Steel Corp. He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of the UMWA and a member of the AF and AM Masonic Lodge 31 of Mannington. He enjoyed collecting coins and knives and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
At the request of deceased there will be no viewing or funeral service. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at the WV National Cemetery at Pruntytown, WV. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhome.com
