Kristofer Lee “Kent” Shaffer, of Fairmont, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019, at his mother’s residence.

Kris was born August 26, 1979 at Fairmont General Hospital, the son of Judith Mancino, Larry Shaffer, and step father Steve Tossone.

Kris graduated East Fairmont High School in 1997. He was a member of H & H Chapel United Methodist Church. Kris went to Pittsburgh Art Institute where he studied culinary arts. Kris worked at Applebee’s for a short time. Shortly after leaving there he obtained his electricians license. Kris was a loving brother and a kind soul. Kris was a wanderer-of life who didn’t like to stay in the same place. He had many friends and relatives that supported him through his journey. He will be remembered as our fearless brother, loving son, and crazy uncle.

Kris is survived by his three sisters, Kimberlee Cottingham, Kayla Tossone, and Kelcey Watkins; one son, Brandon Limberick; Nieces and nephews, Makia Shaffer, Somya Cottingham, Zariah Cottingham, Alexander Watkins, Tobias Cottingham and Lola Stoneking; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kris is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gerald Lemley and Lucille Lemley; paternal step grandpaents: Rocco Tossone Sr. and Josephine Piccalo Tossone; cousin, James Michael Kerns; and several aunts and uncles.

Friends and family may stop by H&H United Methodist Chapel on Tuesday from 1-8 pm and Wednesday from 5-6 pm with a service starting at 6:30 pm with Reverend Randy Vincent officiating. Final arrangements was assisted by Masters Funeral Home in Mannington. On-line condolences may be left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com

my most sincere sympathy for the loss of your son. I remember him well as one of my students at East Fairmont High School. He was very well liked by his fellow students. He was passed too early in his life.

Hey was one of t best dads when he could be , he had a sense of humor Brandon has it, that was like no other ,things that upset a normal person off they both laugh at , I can't believe ur gone ,ur suppose to be here for all the big moments in Brandon's life ,I know youll watch over both of my boys w my dad , I just hate this has happen to u ,N Brandon , it just don't feel right ,but i promise ill do my best w them n ur mom ill always have u in my heart
