Norma Jean Hibbs, age 84, of Flaggy Meadow, Mannington, WV, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at The Arbors in Fairmont. She was born April 30, 1933 at Hacker Valley, WV, a daughter of the late Lonnie Pugh and Sylvia Lee Powers Pugh Wilson.
She is survived by her husband Robert Hibbs of Mannington; a brother, Jim Pugh and sister-in-law, Mary Lou of Virginia; a sister-in-law, Ann Jones of Bingamon; a great-uncle, Guy Davidson of Kanawha Head; several nieces and nephews, Sharon Sokolosky, Charlie and Susan Schrader, Steve and Robin Garrett, Jeff Schrader, JJ and Denise Pugh, Lea Michelle Lake, Terry Ash, Sherrie and John Bonnette; great-nieces and nephews, Chris and Kristina Schrader, Brett Schrader and Mikaela Fluharty, Amanda and Jay Ice, Steve and Susie Garrett, Tom and Kristy Garrett, Jack Lake, Zane Lake, Halie Pugh, Katie Bonnette and Zane Bonnette; and also several great-great-nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Lee Pugh and 2 sisters, Helen Pugh Garrett and Hazel Pugh Schrader.
Norma was a member of the Flaggy Meadow Baptist Church. She was employed at Owen’s Illinois and retired after 40 years of service. She enjoyed watching college football games. She volunteered at the Mannington Food Pantry in Mannington.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St, Mannington, on Monday, September 11, 2017 from 2-7:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 12 at 11:00am with Pastor Larry Watson officiating. Interment will follow at the Hamilton Cemetery in Flaggy Meadow.
