Thomas John Morgan, age 61 of Bingamon Community, WV died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at his home. He was born February 7, 1955 at Fairmont, WV, a son of the late Harold Cecil Morgan and Inez Louise Fisher Morgan.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Terry Lynn Gooden Morgan; one son, Thomas John “TJ” Morgan; 3 daughters, Sara and husband Jerry Reel of Wyatt, April Emma Morgan of Jasper, Georgia, and Lacy Louise Morgan of Monongah, WV; 2 granddaughters, Bailey Lynn Reel and Mackenzie Gail Gooden; one sister, Sharon Croucher and husband Paul of Shinnston; two brothers, Larry and wife Janice Morgan of Fairmont, WV and Terry Lee and wife Betty Morgan of Metz, WV; a special cousin, Brad Davis of Cadiz, OH; several nieces, nephews and cousins and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Lorna Morgan and John and Nelda Fisher; two brothers, Jeff and Bruce Morgan; one sister, Cindy Morgan; father and mother-in-law, William R. and Lennie Hayhurst Gooden; and one grandson, Wyatt Cole Reel.
Tom was affiliated with the Charity Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver from D&G Machine in Mannington and several other trucking companies over the years. He enjoyed restoring a truck with his son, and most mechanic work. He was content at home on “Morgan Mountain” with his dogs and best friend and wife, Terry. His most enjoyable things in life was living on the mountain and living the legacy that his father started.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 at 1:00pm in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Reel officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakdale Cemetery.
