Virginia Yoho

to

Our beloved mother, Virginia “Ellen” Yoho, joined our loving father, James Andrew Yoho, in Heaven on this beautiful fall day, October 25, 2014. She is now in blissful peace and we will celebrate her life from this day forward. She was born on December 25, 1924 in a little house in the garden on Salt Lick, the daughter of the late David Brooks and Elizabeth Levelle Gould.

In her early years, she was an attentive Nanny in Washington D.C., then returning home to work at Westinghouse, where she worked for 8 years, and then left to raise her children. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Andrew Yoho who died on December 13, 1998 and who she married on December 14, 1949; her seven siblings, being the last surviving member; and one son, Gerald Allen Yoho, who passed at the age of 2.

Surviving to carry on treasured memories of Ellen are her 8 children, 10 grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren, 5 sons, Terry and wife Becky, David and wife Kelli, Frank Yoho and companion Deb Yauger, Todd Yoho and Tom Yoho, all of Mannington, 3 daughters, Donna Gifford and husband Robert, Janet Fletcher and husband Kenneth and Kathy Tetrick and husband Mark, all of Mannington, 10 cherished grandchildren, Robert Gifford and wife Vicky, Leah Price and husband Andy, Chad Gifford and wife Melissa, David Mathew Yoho, Jessie Yoho, Josh Yoho, Matt Yoho, Nathaniel Fletcher, Brooks Yoho and Thomas Liggett, 7 cherished great-grandchildren, Bryanne Price, Michael Gifford, Trent Yoho, Miley Yoho, Remington Gifford, Montana Gifford and Isabella Gifford.

Ellen was a faithful servant to the Lord and attended the former Methodist Church on Salt Lick until it's closing and then attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Metz as long as she could. So in lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be given to Ellen’s church, The Metz Church of God of Prophecy, or Hospice of Fairmont.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St. Mannington on Monday, Oct. 27, 2014 from 2:30-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Dennis Howard and Pasto Jerry Dooley officiating. Burial will follow at the Hess Cemetery in Salt Lick. On-line condolences may be left for the family at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
