Alison Jayne McVaney, 1 week old, of Farmington, WV passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at Fairmont General Hospital. She was born March 21, 2012 at Fairmont, West Virginia, a daughter of Michael David McVaney and Jamie Rebecca McVaney.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her two sisters, Rebecca Raphial and Kayli Raphial of Fairmont; maternal grandfather, James Robert “Bob” Fletcher and wife Barb of Mannington; maternal grandmother, Darlene Dunn of Florida; paternal grandmother, Victoria McVaney of Farmington; maternal great-grandmother, Mary L. Fletcher of Rachel; maternal great-grandparents, Lloyd and Dolores Wendt of Moundsville; special aunt, Megan McVaney of Farmington; several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
Alison was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, David McVaney, who passed away on September 15, 2005; maternal great-grandfather, James Robert “Jimmy” Fletcher; paternal great-grandmother, Maxine McCain.
Family and Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WVon Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 4-6:00 P.M. with a funeral service taking place at 6 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Dooley officiating. Although I did not get to meet Alison and hold her in my arms, I rejoiced with you at the news of her birth. Now I grieve with you for your loss. Alison was lucky to have you as her parents for the time she was with you. I wish I could be there with you as you grieve, but know that although I am not there in body, I am there in heart and spirit. My prayers are with you as always.
