Barbara Jean Compton, age 85 of St. Clair’s Village, Morgantown, WV passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022. She was born April 10, 1937 in Farmington, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Ernest Stottlemire and Evelyn Linville Stottlemire.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna and Tom Smith of Manns Choice, PA, and Pamela Compton of St. Clair’s Village, Morgantown, WV, 5 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Barbara is also survived by her brother Kenny and Muggy Stottlemire of Fairmont, her two sisters, Rosie and Kenny Efaw of Mannington and Mary Jo and Butch Hutchinson of California, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Robert Luther Compton, three children, Robert W. Compton, Mark Allen Compton, and Bobbi Jean Tonti, three brothers, Paul Stottlemire, Harold Linville, and Richard Lee Stottlemire, and one sister, Delores Lou Stottlemire.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 from 10:00am-12:00pm with funeral services beginning at 12:00pm. Interment will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
