Betty Lee Lanham Clelland, 86 of Mannington, WV passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011 at St. Barbara's Nursing Home in Monongah. She was born March 5, 1925 at Mannington, WV a daughter of the late Beulah Holbert Thomas and stepfather David Thomas who raised her.
She is survived by one son James David and wife Sara Jane Clelland of Dennison, Ohio; two daughters, Linda and husband Walter Jones of Mannington, WV and Kimberly and husband Jeffery Thorne of Fairmont, WV; eight grandchildren, Todd Michael and wife Wendy Clelland of North Carolina, Ann Brennan of Shinnston, WV, Susan Brooks of Shinnston, WV , Edward (Teddy) Brennan of Maple Lake, David John and wife Amilie of Long Island, NY, Dajai Jones of Mannington, WV, Amanda Thorne of Mannington, WV, and Kayla Thorne of Fairmont, WV; eight great-grandchildren, Mark Clelland, Ben Clelland, Todd Michael Clelland, Brennan Brooks, Orry Brooks, Arianna Brooks, Teaghan Brennan and James Andrew Brennan; one brother-in-law and wife Bob and Betty Clelland of Parkersburg, WV.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Alfred Clelland on January 23, 1995, a grandson , David Clelland, and two great-grandsons Joseph Allman and Stone Brennan.
Betty was a retired Social Worker at Valley Mental Health Center in Fairmont She enjoyed playing bridge and reading. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Mannington.
Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Tuesday, December 20. 2011 from 2-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Greg Roth officiating.
