Braxton McKinley Webb, age 93 of Barrackville, WV passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 at Tygart Center Nursing Home. He was born June 28, 1933 in Fairmont, a son of the late John L. Webb and Ruby W. Webb Graham.
He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Betty Ann Webb, two brothers, David L. Webb of Fairmont and James A. Webb of Fairmont, his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Carolyn Hayes and their sons Scott Hayes of Fairmont and Todd Hayes of West Chester, OH. Braxton is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Braxton was preceded in death by two sisters, Mavis Wade and Etta Mae Roberts, and his brother John L. Webb Jr.
Braxton was a member of the Warren Ohio Church of the Holy Spirit but attended the Mannington Church of the Nazarene. He loved old cars and enjoyed going to car shows. He also enjoyed NASCAR, football and baseball games and watching the History Channel. Braxton served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. After he retired, he worked for a steel warehouse in Indiana and also at a steel company in Mexico. He also worked at Detta and GM.
There will be no funeral home services as cremation has been chosen as the final method of disposition. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of the final arrangements.
