Carol Ann McLain, age 79 of Mannington, WV passed away on Monday, December 1, 2025 at WVU Hospital in Fairmont. She was born July 23, 1946 in Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late Harry Owen Williams and Alice Naomi McDermott Williams.
She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Terry McLain of Mannington, her son David and Amy Jones and their sons William and Hunter, all of Columbus, OH and her daughter Tamera and Thomas Myers and son Travis Secarce, all of Bradford, OH. Carol is also survived by her step-children, Frank and Stephanie Shomo McLain, Robert “Rusty” and Korrie McLain and their children Regan, Camryn, and Ashlynn McLain, Katrina and Joshua Smith and their children Avery and Aiden Smith and Allison Ferguson, and Kelia McLain and her children Kaori and Kenorid Gaminde, a special niece Shirl Austin, and her special friends Debbie McLain and Debbie Stout.
Carol was a 1965 Graduate of Oxen Hills HS in Maryland where she went on to work for the FBI after graduating from HS. She then worked for Northwood Health Systems in New Martinsville, WV. Carol was a Christian by Faith and was also a member of the Mannington Elks Lodge #388.
There will be no funeral home services as it was Carol’s request for cremation as her final method of disposition. A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV has been placed in care of the final arrangements.

Sending my deepest condolences and prayers to the Family. I met Carol back in 2023 through my friend Terry who later became her husband. She was always smiling and had a great personality. A great friend. Definitely will be missed!

Carol was my dearest and longest friend. I will miss you so very much as we were friends almost 70 years and always kept in tough over these many years. I sent my love to all of her family and am so sorry for your loss.
Knew Carolnfrom 9th grade PE and around Marlow Heights. We became friends when she began providing me with hand written lyrics to latest songs, beginning with “He’s so Fine” and we rocked out while singing the latest. Loved the girl!
