Toppie was a home maker who enjoyed painting and doing crafts with some of her paintings hanging in lots of offices all over Mannington, Fairmont and Bridgeport. We have only known Toppie for about two years. When we were looking to buy the property across from Randy and Toppie, I walked up their long driveway, knocked on their door, and introduced myself, Toppie had never laid eyes on me before, and she invited me into her home and offered me a cup of coffee. I asked Randy and Toppie endless questions about the area because my wife and I had just had a bad experience with theft and crime on another property we had bought, and it was Toppie that reassured me that this was the place to build my home. Her exact words were "If you stay here a while, you will never want to leave" Well Toppie you were right, you and your family were the reason my wife felt comfortable enough to build here, and this holler will not be the same without you in it. God Bless You Toppie. RIP.
