Carroll Buford “Zip” Glover, age 82 of Flat Run, Mannington, WV passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. He was born September 13, 1937 in Marion County, WV a son of the late Arthur Lee Glover and Olive May Cross Glover.

He is survived by two daughters, Linda D. and Randy Elliott of Mannington and Melanie Ann Jacobin and Rick Corwin of Fairmont; three grandchildren, Megan and Zachary Jones of Clifton, VA, Eric J. Elliott of Mannington, and Shawn D. Elliott of Mannington; one great-grandson, Oliver Jones of Clifton, VA; one brother, Wayne and Mazie Glover of Morgantown, and one sister, Thelma Utt of Ohio; a sister-in-law, Sue Hall of Morgantown; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Zip was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Ann Glover who died February 3, 2005; a daughter, Debra S. Glover who died January 8, 2009; an infant son, David Glover; and a sister, Jean Helmick.

Zip previously attended the Union Valley Baptist Church on Flat Run. He retired after 30 years of service from Phillips Lighting (Westinghouse). He enjoyed traveling to the beach when Joyce was alive and traveling to Emerald Isle for 20 years. He was a big WVU Mountaineers fan and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed spending time with his close friends and going out to eat and also listening to music.

The family would like to thank Fairmont Regional Medical Center ICU nurses for the wonderful care given to their father while he was a patient there.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 11:00am to 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm with Pastor Dan Cunningham officiating. Sorry for the loss of your father. Buford as my dad always knew him by was a great man he has told us many stories about when they were young. We are really going to miss him. He's looking over us now. Love and Prayers to all the Glover family.

So very sorry to hear about Mr. Glover. He was a dear friend and neighbor. What we find hard to remember is that our loss here is the Lords gain when an angel goes home. Love and prayers to the family.
