Charles Edward Marstiller, age 82 of Carolina, WV passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his residence. He was born May 6, 1942 in Mannington, WV son of the late Ivory Marstiller.
He is survived by his daughter Dana Zogal and her husband Pete of Baxter, WV, two grandchildren, Triston Witt and her husband Frankie of Fairview, WV and Jake Payton and his wife Jo of Fairmont, WV, and his 5 grandchildren. Charles is also survived by his sister Becky Hartzell of Mannington, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and his neighbors Tom and Kim Ice and Terry and Lori Ice.
In addition to his mother, Charles was preceded in death by his wife Linda Zickefoose Marstiller who died in 2008, his two brothers, Brady Marstiller and Richard “Scratch” Marstiller, and two sisters, Lucy Moore and Sylvia Sterling.
Charles was a member of the United Methodist Church in Carolina, served in the National Guard for four years in the Artillery Division, and had worked for the Marion County Dept. of Education as a School Bus Driver for many years. Charles enjoyed mowing grass and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching WVU Basketball games and his pet cats.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 from 10:00am to 12:00pm with funeral services beginning at 12:00pm with Pastor Danny Blake of the Carolina Methodist Church and Rev. Charles Miller of the Shiloh Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Shinnston Memorial Cemetery.
So very sorry to hear of Charlie’s passing. Lots of great memories. He is united with his dear friends Mose and Jim. Love and prayers for the family. RIP Charlie.
