Charlotte Helen Beavan, age 92, of Mods Run, Mannington, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2026 at her residence. She was born on January 18, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio, a daughter of the late Fred Edward Buhrts and Matilda Marie Shaffel Buhrts.

She is survived by five children, Frank E. Beavan Jr. of Mannington, Elizabeth “Liz” Duvall of Farmington, David John Beavan of Four States, Mary Ann Beavan Ice of Masontown, and Dorothy Lint of Mannington, seventeen grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charlotte was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband Frank Emerson Beavan Sr. who died January 31, 2001, her son William F. Beavan, her grandson Mike Beavan, and several siblings and nieces.

Charlotte enjoyed crocheting, her flowers, watching birds, and cooking as she was famous for “grandma burgers”! She was employed for the Marion County Board of Educ. for 12 years having retired as a cook at North Marion High School. She also owned and operated Beavan’s Greenhouse for over 35 years. Charlotte was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Mannington.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Sunday, April 19, 2026 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held at the Calvary Baptist Church in Mannington on Monday, April 20, 2026 beginning at 10:00am with Pastor Lee Bowman officiating. Interment will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery in Rachel.

Charlotte was a very loving lady
Cared and never met a stranger.my daughter always called her grandma.and she and my sister Dora was always yard selling crochet and canning with charolotte gone but not forgotten
