Charlotte (Rigsby) Craig, 69 of Mannington, WV passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV.  She was born on March 17, 1944 in Shinnston, WV a daughter of the late Farris (Happy) and Audrey Barnes Bates.

 

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Garry D. Craig with whom she was married on September 4, 1971; three children, Kathy (Rigsby) Blair of Monongah, James and Ronda (Rosenberger) Rigsby of Mannington, and Lorene (Craig) Boone of Winchester, VA; grandchildren, Bobby and David Blair of Girard, OH, Ashley Blair of Columbus, GA, Preston Villers-Craig of Morgantown, and Morgan Rigsby of Mannington; three siblings, Farris (Jack) and Peggy Bates of Cortland, OH, Lee Ellen and Cary Carter of Bristol, OH, and Larry Bates of Warren, OH; several cousins as well; special friends, Argyle and Betty Bates of Cortland, OH, Jack and Cheryl Dixon of Mannington, Tom and Lotta Neer of Mannington, Chuck and Kathy Glover of Mannington, Ernie and Nancy Michael of Mannington.

 

Charlotte was a 1962 graduate of Lakeview High School in Cortland, OH.  She was a member of the Marion Co. Rescue Squad from 1985-1990 as well as a member of the Women of the Moose, Chapter 1054 in Mannington since 1976

 

The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. Alan Hess, HHP Internal Medicine in Morgantown for his tender loving care, the entire staff of Mon General Hospital as well.

 

Family and Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Tuesday, August 27, 2013 from 2-7:00 p.m.  A funeral service will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Tennant officiating with cremation to follow.  Final interment will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Charlotte’s name to TMS Treasurer, The Mastocytosis Society, P.O. Box 129, Hastings, NE  68902-0129.  Arrangements are under the care of Masters Funeral Home.  On-line condolences may be left at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com

I was so sorry to hear about Charlotte's passing. I remember so well when you all would stop by Mom and Dad's (Roy and Hazel Martin) at Viropa and all the conversations we had around the kitchen table. My how time passes us by. Living out of state, I realize how many people a person doesn't keep in touch with. Just wanted you to know people really care. God Bless you and your family. Patty

so sorry to hear of your loss!. I have missed her so much! She had put a guard around her heart. I pray that her children and grandchildren will break the barrier and let me and their cousins around her in and we can have the family that we use to have in the future.
