Clifford L. Summers, age 76, of Morgantown, WV passed away Friday, September 17, 2021 at the Veterans Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born March 11, 1945 in Morgantown, a son of the late Winiford Baker Summers.
Clifford is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ruth Ann Yoho Summers; his 5 children, Betsy, Kristy, Chauna (Edward), Jennifer and Little Clifford (Mandi); five grandchildren, Jason, Emily, Erica, Isaac and Dakota; four sisters, Thelma J. (Joe) Carpenter, Joann (Harry) Thompson, Wilma (Willard) Swiger and Sally Crawford; and two brothers, Thomas (Carol) Summers Jr and Roy Summers.
In addition to his mother, Clifford was preceded in death by his sister, Naomi Molitor and a brother-in-law, David Crawford.
Clifford was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Vietnam and in the Persian Gulf. He enjoyed collecting military memorabilia. He was a custodian at West Virginia University. He enjoyed carpentry, fishing and driving scenic trips.
Visitation will be held at Masters funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 10:00am-12:00noon then traveling to Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens for a graveside with full Military Honors accorded by the United States Army and the Marion County Veterans Council. I am so sorry to hear of ths Summers family loss of Clifford. I still remember visiting years ago when he was driving us around those mountain roads, he had us holding on for dear life. He will be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.
