Creta G. Kilcoyne, 99 of Midland, PA and formerly of Smithfield, WV passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 Cambridge Village Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. She was born June 10, 1913 at Alvy, WV, a daughter of the late Mike and Orpha Beckett Moore.
She is survived by her son, John “Mike” Kilcoyne of Midland, Pennsylvania, three grandsons, and numerous great and great-great-grandchildren.
Creta was a United States Army Veteran, having served during World War II. She retired as a pharmacy technician at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
In addition to her parents, Creta was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Kilcoyne, and her daughter-in-law, Barbara J. Kilcoyne.
Family and Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 6-8 P.M. with funeral services beginning at 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. A Flag Presentation Service will be held by the Marion County Military Veterans Council. Private interment will take place in Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. I am happy that I was able to meet the woman my wife was named after; sorry that I didn't meet her sooner.
