Dale Albert Wells, 77 of Farmington went to be with the Lord Monday, March 1, 2016 at his home. He was born on July 20, 1938 in Mannington WV, son of the late Claude Wells and Elvia Mable Amos Wells of Mannington, WV.
Dale was a jack of all trades, a very hard worker no job was too big or too small. Dale was a “junker” by trade. He was a generous man he helped many people throughout his lifetime.
He is survived by longtime partner and the love of his life Lucy Starrett. Three children, son Stanley “Sparky” Dale Wells of Blacksville, WV and two daughters Brenda Kay Wells who resides in Maine and Jaqueline Rachel Wells of Fairmont, WV. He is also survived by five brothers John Wells Cunningham of Sedona, AZ, William “Bill” Wells of Mannington, Claude “Junior” Wells of Mannington, Thomas “Tom” Wells of Farmington, Donald “Donnie” Wells of Mannington. And two sisters Martha and Margret Wells both of Mannington.
Dale is also survived by eight step children, 40 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
Dale was preceded in death by two brothers Walter Roy Wells and Charles Lee Wells of Mannington WV.
At Dale’s request pall bearers will be James “Jim” Starrett, Claude “Hotrod” Starrett, Jimmy Ray Starrett, Arygle “Spike” Starrett, Charles “Chad” Jones, and Joseph “Little Joe” Mike.
The viewing will be held at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Thursday, March 3, 2016 from 3pm to 9pm and funeral services will be on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 11am conducted by Reverend Janet Flanagan officiating.
