
Delbert “Sonny” Terrance Floyd, Jr, age 64 of Barrackville, WV passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Fairmont Regional Medical Center. He was born April 9, 1954 at Fairmont, WV, a son Delbert Terrance Floyd, Sr. and Patricia Pearl Parrish Floyd of Bellview, WV.
Sonny is survived by his wife Alycia Ann Alderman Floyd of Barrackville; 8 children, Todd Floyd of Carolina, Michael Floyd of Farmington, Heather Richards (Israel) of Carolina, Stephen Vandergrift of Barrackville, Timmy Reed (Crystal) of Moody’s Run, Christina Marie VanWagoner of Florida, Leigha Bogart of Barrackville, Ethan Wade Clark of Barrackville; 15 beloved grandchildren and one beloved great-granddaughter; four sisters, Sharon Layman of Bellview, Paula Fulaytar (Doug) of Carolina, Carolyn Henderson (Dale) of Monumental, and Cindy Taylor (Scott) of Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.
Sonny was active in the Monumental Methodist Church and was a faithful Christian. He enjoyed his grandchildren and family and he really enjoyed spending time in his garage. He was always a devoted father, son, brother, husband and grandfather and made sure his children were taken care of.
Cremation was Sonny’s choice of disposition. There will be no funeral home visitations or services. There will be a Memorial Service at 5:00 pm on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Monumental Methodist Church with Pastor Stephanie Bennett officiating.
