Man of God, Delbert Terrance Floyd Sr., 87, passed away at his home in Monumental on August 29, 2020. He was born November 25, 1932, a son of the late Joshua Allen Floyd and Maggie Ellen Kennedy Floyd.
Delbert was a man of God; husband of 67 years to his beloved wife, Patricia Parrish Floyd, father to Delbert Terrance Floyd Jr (deceased) and his widow Alycia, Sharon Kay Layman, Paula Jean (Doug) Fulaytar, Carolyn Ann (Dale) Henderson, Cynthia E. (Scott) Taylor, grandfather to 21, great-grandfather to 40, great-great-grandfather to 1, brother to Allen Junior Floyd (deceased), Winford Lee Floyd (deceased), Clara Elsie Floyd Young (deceased), and surviving brother Thomas Cleveland Floyd, brother-in-law to Ellen Ruth Martin, Phyllis Parrish, Lelia Floyd and Robert Young, uncle to many wonderful nieces and nephews, Jack of all trades, builder, joy spreader and witness for the Lord Jesus Christ. For final disposition, Delbert chose cremation.

Mr. Floyd was an inspiration to many, as was Sonny, both are remembered with fondness.

I will always be grateful to him and the family. His friendship with my dad ran deep. So thankful that he sold dad the home that we call our family home, were we were raised in a good life. I am so sorry for your loss. Hugs and prayers.
