Destiny Marie Whetsell, age 31 of Farmington, WV passed away on October 10th, 2025. She was born in Morgantown, WV, on February 25th, 1994, the daughter of Natasha Gene Kerns and Michael Deanna Ammons.
Destiny is survived by her two children, Brody Zinn Kellar (father Andrew Kellar and brother Brycen Kellar) and Josiah Michael Martin, and her significant other Joseph Martin, her mother Natasha Kerns and father Mike Ammons, siblings, Mariah Whetsell (Ricky), Heidi Ammons, Trevor Ammons, Jordyn and Keira Whetsell, Gabby Lively. She is also survived by her grandmothers Doris Whetsell, Beverly Longwell, and Penny Ammons, several aunts and uncles, Mike (Theresa) Longwell, Carrisa (Jason) Smith, Bill Bainbridge, Belinda Kellar and Nick Whetsell, as well as several cousins and loving friends.
Destiny was preceded in death by three grandfathers, Dan Whetsell, Ernie Longwell and Mike Ammons, and a great-grandfather Ernest Zinn Longwell Sr.
Destiny was a loving caring mother, daughter, sister and beloved friend who loved taking care of the elderly, outdoors, riding 4-wheelers, and spending time with her boys. She was a North Marion High School Graduate Class of 2013 and will be deeply missed by anyone who knew her and loved her. Destiny had one of the prettiest smiles you ever laid eyes on and she was always a bright light in the room. Her boys meant the whole world to her! She loved hard and was loved by all!
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025 in the funeral home beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow at the Longwell Cemetery in Farmington.

Where do I even start?
Since hearing of your passing my mind hasn’t been anywhere except memories of you.
From the time you were born, I remember coming to the hospital and you were so tiny, my entire hand covered you.
The memories of you staying at my house when you were young. To us last summer at my house laughing at Brody as he ate up teen ears of corn with butter all over his face.
Destiny Marie, this still doesn’t seem real. My beautiful niece gone too soon. Forever 31 beautiful girl. Love you!!!
Destiny was so beautiful inside and out. Everyone who knew her loved her. And I will miss her dearly. My sympathies to the family love always, Kim
