Donald Efaw

Donald Earnest Efaw, 81, of Whetstone Rd, Mannington, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at Fairmont General Hospital.  He was born April 23, 1932 at Mohan’s Run, son of the late Dee Woodrow Efaw and Zana Rosalee Watson Efaw.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Edna Ruth Tennant Efaw; 2 daughters, Loretta Louise Ward and her husband Harvey of Newport News, VA and Elizabeth Ann Marlin of Cameron, WV;  a son, Donald Jr. Efaw and his companion, Lucy Wade of Cameron, WV; two step-daughters, Carol S. Gump and her fiancée, Mark Stevens of Joetown and Roberta Lynn Gump of Enterprise; two step-sons, Sgt. John Charles Gump and his wife Clara of Mannington and Anthony Gump of Mannington.

Also survived by 17 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Loretta and Richard Cave of Henderson, TN and Karen and Gary Marteney of Mohan’s Run;  three brothers and sisters-in-law, Harold and Alta Efaw of Mannington, James Woodrow and June Efaw and Randy Lee and Linda Efaw, both of Mohan’s Run; several nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by a daughter, Virginia Rosalee Efaw, a granddaughter, Linda Woodfin, and a great-granddaughter, Jessica Woodfin.

He was retired from the WV Department of Highways.  He enjoyed working on cars.

Family and Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St, Mannington, WV Friday 2:30 pm to 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Saturday at 1 pm, with Dr. Evangelist Michael P.
