to

Donald L. Efaw, 78 of Mannington, WV passed away Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Tygart Center in Fairmont, WV.  He was born April 16, 1933 at Dudley Fork, Mannington, WV a son of the late Donald Burl "Buster" and Nellie Blanche Efaw.

He is survived by seven children and spouses, Rick Haley and wife Christine of Broomfield, Colorado, Cindy Irmen and husband Bernie of Warden, Montana, Doris Jean Roberts and husband Keith, also of Warden, Montana, Diane Moore of Tampa, FL, Donald Brian Efaw and wife Teresa of Mannington, WV, Michael Efaw and wife Diane of Warrentown, VA, and Melissa Gump of Moundsville, WV; nineteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Arnold Efaw of Mannington, WV and one sister, Charlotte Male and husband Benny of Woodsfield, Ohio; many nieces and nephews also survive.

Don was a wonderful father and a very caring man.  He was longtime employee of Owens Illinois in Fairmont for over 20 years.  He was self employed and was owner and operator of Efaws Trailer Park in Mannington.  He enjoyed doing things for others and never thinking of himself.  He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoying the outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing and would spend countless hours watching the deer in his backyard.

Don fulfilled the promise that he made 26 years ago to his father to take care of his mother.  He spent each and every day of those years making sure that he always put her needs before his own as he did with friends and family. Donald will be greatly missed by all of us.

Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Monday, October 17, 2011 from 2-9 P.M.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Chaplain Rick Price officiating.  Burial will follow at the Dudley Cemetery in Mannington.  On-line condolences may be left for the family at mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
