Dora (Dee) Mae Beavan, age 57 of Mannington, WV, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born October 30, 1961 in Fairmont, WV, a daughter of Dewain Carpenter Sr. of Virginia and the late Patricia “Vi” Williams Carpenter.
Dee retired from Fairmont General Hospital where she worked as a cook. She enjoyed going to yard sales, camping, and spending time with her family. She had an amazing heart and was willing to help anyone in any way she could.
Dora is survived by her husband Frank Beavan Jr. of Mannington; 2 daughters, Amanda (Chris) Morgan of Monongah, and Christina (J.R.) Woody of Morgantown; 2 step-daughters, Sally (Roger) Martin of Mannington, and Angela (Serafin) Carmarillo of Texas; 2 sisters, Patty Dolog of Kentucky and Nancy Carpenter of Monongah; a brother, Brian Carpenter of Louisiana; mother-in-law, Charlotte Beavan of Mannington; 9 grandchildren, Jimmy Greynolds, Andrew Morgan, Zach and Tyson Woody, Molly and Noah Martin, and Serafin Jr., Samantha and Alex Camarillo; many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
In addition to her mother, Dora was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Harvey Carpenter and Dewain Carpenter Jr.; and her father-in-law, Frank Beavan Sr.
Family and friends will be received at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 from 1-7:00pm. There will be no funeral services as cremation was chosen as the final disposition. Flowers will be accepted and memorial donations may be made to the funeral home on behalf of the family.
