Edith Jean Cole Daft, age 81, formerly of Mannington, WV, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2015. She was born June 10, 1934 at Fairmont, WV, a daughter of the late William Cole and Cora Jones Cole.
She is survived by 5 children, Lois Jean Kennedy and husband Jim of Farmington, Jack Lee Daft and wife Tonya of Plum Run, Shirley Ann Rager and husband Tim of Fairmont, Richard Allen Daft and wife Kim of Little Laurel Run, and Jerry Michael Daft and wife Terri of Farmington No. 9; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris Cole Parks of Reno, Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Edith was preceded in death by her husband Lewis Richard Daft, a grandson, Adam Daft and a brother, Charles Cole.
Edith previously worked at the Mannington Drapery Factory and St. Barbara’s Memorial Nursing Home. She was a Sunday School teacher for years at the Farmington Methodist School. She went to Senior Citizens every Monday.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Friday, November 6, 2015 from 3-9pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11am with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. Interment will follow at the Beverly Hill Memorial Gardens.
