Edna Butler

to

Edna Marie Butler, age 75 of Paden City, WV passed away peacefully on Saturday, November, 6, 2021 at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born August 23, 1946 in Mannington, WV a daughter of the late John Robert Hayes and Zana Vancie Hayes.

Edna was a loving wife to her late husband Roger Lee Butler as she quoted “She loved him with all her heart and soul forever and will be lost without him”. They will now be reunited together forever, as well as with her dearest friend Sue “Susie” Fouse.

Edna is survived by her two daughters, Tammy Marie Wise of Fairmont, WV and Crystal Lee Towns (Fred Towns) of Enterprise, WV; four grandchildren, John “Jake” Wesley Wise III (Amber Fouse) of Paden City, WV, Justin Lee Walls (Sydney Walls) of Salem, WV, Christopher Towns and Thomas Towns, both of Enterprise, WV; and friends of the family, Pastor Ralph Fouse and family Denzil Walls II, and John Wise II (Margaret Brown), and Morgan and Melinda Fouse family. She was very much looking forward to meeting her first great-grandson, Bentley Lee Walls who will be born December 17, 2021

Edna was a “great” grandma and would’ve been the “greatest” great-grandma. She was a Christian of the Baptist faith who very much believed in the power of God. She lived life for her family and friends, whom she would do anything for. She converted work life to family life, as she never put her needs before anyone else’s. She was the strongest person her family ever knew. She was compassionate about all of her pets and held them all very dear to her heart. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, and adventures.

Among her last wishes was she would be surrounded by her family and friends as she wanted to make sure everyone was taken care of and that we are here for each other. She loved us all and was saddened she didn’t get to hold Bentley, her first great-grandchild.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St. in Mannington on Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6-8:00pm as well as on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 10:00am-1:00pm. Funeral services will begin 1:00pm with Pastor Ralph Fouse officiating. Burial will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery in Rachel.
