Edward Wallace McCauley Sr., 63 of Rachel, WV passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at Fairmont General Hospital. He was born January 24, 1947 at Fairmont, WV a son of the late Mart and Bertha Schilen McCauley.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diana Gail McCauley; a son, Edward Wallace McCauley Jr. of Rachel; a daughter, Sissy Johnson of Fairmont; grandson, Alec Wallace Lee McCauley of Proctor and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren of Fairmont; 2 brothers, Robert McCauley and his wife Kay of Fairmont and Victor McCauley and his wife Carol of Fairmont; two sisters, Lillian Hostuttler of South Dakota and Linda Fortney of Monongah; a brother-in-law, Jerry Moore and his wife Margaret of Mannington; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Edward was preceded in death by his 13 brothers and sisters and a son, Bruce Johnson.
Edward was retired from Dominion Hope with 35 years of service. He enjoyed fishing, camping, sports, restoring old cars and woodworking. He served with the United States Navy and Reserves.
Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Friday, October 29, 2010 from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Father Douglas Sutton officiating. Burial will follow at the Viewpoint Cemetery.
