Eldora Garnette “Dorie” Masters, age 88 of Mannington, WV passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at Clarksburg Nursing and Rehab. She was born June 25, 1932 in Mannington, WV a daughter of the late Earl Linville and Gracie Glover Linville.
She is survived by her husband, Howard Ray “Junkie” Masters, with whom she was married to for 67 years; three children, Stanley and Ginger Masters of Fairmont, Linda Masters of Dunbar, and Darla Stull of Dunbar; one granddaughter, Stefanie Masters of Mannington; three sisters, Frances Morrison of Nutter Fort, Gladys Barnes of Columbus, OH, and Barbara Anderson of Columbus, OH; one brother-in-law, Blaine Petry of Columbus, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Dorie was preceded in death by one son, Harlen Ray Masters; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph (Ruth) Linville, Dale (Rose) Linville, and Donald “Mike” (Jean) Linville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Jesse (Linville) Masters, Lucy Petry, and Jane (Millard) Nicholson; three brothers-in-law, Richard “Dick” Barnes, Jimmy Anderson, and Austin “Slim” Morrison; and one son-in-law, John Stull.
Dorie graduated from Farmington High School. She was a homemaker.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Saturday, July 25, 2020 from 10:00am - 12:00pm with her daughter Darla Stull officiating a brief funeral service. Interment will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Mannington Volunteer Fire Dept.

So sorry to hear of Dorie's passing. What a wonderful lady. I will always remember her stories of growing up on Prichard Hollow - Clear Drain. The one story esp. of her walking up over the hill to Little Dents Run to catch the school bus.
