Elizabeth Louise Fluharty, age 85 of Farmington, WV passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at her residence. She was born June 1, 1935 at Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late William Virgil Dent and Margaret Elizabeth Loran Dent.
She is survived by three children, Robert Earl Fluharty Jr. of Farmington, Robin Kay (Kennard) Godfrey of Farmington, and Sheila Louise Fluharty of Farmington; four grandchildren, Eric (Theresa) Godfrey, Robert Eugene (Laytoya) VanFosson, William Keith ( Lara) VanFosson, and Tabitha Sue (Michael) Waggy; 8 great-grandchildren, Alexis Michelle VanFosson, Isabella Grace Waggy, Aiden Keith Vincent, Maiya Faith Waggy, Katie Nicole Riffe, Chloe Wren VanFosson, Caleb Robert VanFosson, and Tyler Russell Lee Shepard; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Fluharty who died February 25, 2020; a daughter, Connie Sue Fluharty, a grandson, Lloyd Godfrey; and four brothers, Virgil, Howard, Jack and William Dent.
Elizabeth worked at Hills Dept. Store, Westinghouse, and the Times West Virginia newspaper. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church at Dunkard Mill. She was a homemaker.
There will be no funeral home visitation or funeral services as cremation was chosen as the final method of disposition.
