Elizabeth Little

Elizabeth Jane Little, age 81 of Smithfield, WV passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at Tygart Center Fairmont Campus. She was born February 20, 1940 at Knob Fork, WV, a daughter of the late Matthew Bradford Little and Minnie Opal Tedrow Little.

She is survived by four children, Patricia “Vickie” Teagarden, Lisa A. Higginbotham and husband Leslie, Karen S. Higginbotham, and William B. Little; a daughter-in-law, Donna Riggs; 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; one brother, William Little of Carrolton; two sisters, Stella M. Heflin and Betty J. Little, both of Bergholz, OH; several nieces and nephews and she was “Mamaw” to many.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Richard Little; her son, Thomas Matthew Little; two sons-in-law, Raymond C. Teagarden, Henry Higginbotham and Byron Higginbotham Sr.; one brother, Franklin Little; and two sisters, Dorothy C. Little and Mary E. Little; two grandchildren, Raymond Lee Teagarden and Stephanie Higginbotham; and one great-granddaughter, Rhetta Teagarden  

Elizabeth enjoyed spending time with her family, cross stitching, puzzles, fishing and gardening. She will be deeply missed by many who loved her.

Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV at Saturday, February 19, 2021 from 2-6:00pm with a memorial service beginning at 6:00pm with Pastor Lee Brown officiating.
