Elizabeth Pearl Snodgrass, 88 of Mannington, WV passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010 at the John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center. She was born October 24, 1921 atMannington, WV a son of the late Robert Walton and Mary Ethel Linville McDiffitt.
She is survived by her three nieces, Susie Ballinger and her husband Larry of Fairmont, JulieBarrett and her husband Lindsley of Shelton, CT and Becky Cruiskshank and her husband Robertof Georgiana, AL; great nieces and nephews, Dana Satterfield and her husband Glen and their children Carly and Brigitte of Fairmont, Elizabeth Brotman and her husband Bruce and their son Benjamin of Chantilly, VA, Jay Ballinger of Fairmont and Albert Metz and his wife Michelle and their children Dale, Devin and Katelynn of Morgantown; several other great nieces and nephews; 3 sisters-in-law, June Shaver of Mannington, Marie Toothman of Bridgeport and Nada Spencer of Weirton, WV.
In addition to her parents, Pearl was preceded in death by her husband, George William Snodgrass who died Feb. 11, 1996; 2 brothers, Robert Raymond McDiffitt and Lewis Albert McDiffitt; 2 sisters, Susie Edith McDiffitt Metz and infant Helen McDiffitt; 2 nephews, Dale Metz and infant Moses Metz.
Pearl worked for several years as a cashier at McCroys Five & Dime Store in Mannington. She was a member of the Seven Pines Church.
The Family would like to thank the employees at the John Manchin Sr. Health Care Center for all the care, love and kindness given to Pearl.
Friends may call at the Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Friday, September 17, 2010 from 1-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home with Reverend Robert Green officiating. Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
