
Ella Elizabeth Masters, age 90 of Flaggy Meadow, Mannington, WV peacefully passed away on Friday, March 19, 2021 at West Virginia Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was born May 29, 1930 at Glovers Gap, Metz, WV the daughter of the late Charles Edgar Raber and Verna Ellen Raber Hayes Kincaid.
She is survived by two children, Gary Masters and his wife Diane of Colfax, WV and Marla Beerbower and her husband Harold of Mannington, WV; 6 grandchildren, Kevin and Tricia Masters, Kristy and Adam Weir, Tara and Nick Leverton, Tracy and Matt Lazorick, Nicole Masters, and Trey and Megan Beerbower; 14 great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Dallas Masters of Levittown, PA; a daughter-in-law, Dina Rinehart of Mannington, WV; several nieces, nephews and cousins across the country; and her friend Libby Metz with whom she always enjoyed talking with on the telephone.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Darrell Masters who died October 28, 1992; her son, Vernon Darrell Masters II who died November 11, 1994; a grandson, Jason Beerbower; and her brother, Donally Raber.
Elizabeth graduated from Mannington High School Class of 1949 and attended West Virginia Business College for one year. Alongside of her husband Darrell, they purchased W.F. Jones Funeral Home in 1973 and established Masters Funeral Home in 1979 helping serve the community up until her full retirement in 2014. She enjoyed sewing, helping people, reading her Bible and chasing her dog Rover. She was a Christian by Faith.
The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the ICU staff and WVU Hospice at Ruby Memorial Hospital for their care of Elizabeth while she was a patient there.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, March 22, 2021 beginning at 1pm with Pastor Bill Coon officiating. Interment will follow at the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
