Elsie Marie Pettit, age 65 of Fairmont, WV who passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2025 at her residence. She was born June 10, 1959 in Fairmont, WV a daughter of the late Patsy Martin and Virginia Eddy Martin.
She is survived by her partner Pat Gorby of Fairmont, her daughter Duretta Stewart and spouse Randy Stewart of Fairmont, two sons, Loren Poe and spouse Brandy Poe of Gypsy and William Poe of Fairmont, and three sisters, Judy Martin of Fairmont, Bertha Starns of Fairmont, and Diana Gibson of Fairmont. Elsie is also survived by her grandkids Logan Vincent and wife Kaelinn, Randy Stewart II, Roy Stewart and wife Chenoa, Autumn Poe, Matthew Poe and Michael Poe, four great-grandchildren, one sister-in-law Shirley Martin of Missouri and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Martin, Charlie Martin, and Jack Eddy, and two sisters, Barbara Martin and Rosie Reger.
Elsie was a homemaker who enjoyed being outside around nature. She also enjoyed going on picnics and playing cards and dominoes. She was a warm-hearted woman who loved her family very much!
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Friday, January 10, 2025 from 2-6:00pm with a funeral service beginning at 6:00pm with Reverend Wesley Dobbs officiating. Cremation has been chosen as the final method of disposition.
