  Emma Louise Shreve Gump, age 98 of Elyria, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at Wesleyan Village in Elyria following a long illness. She was born December 24, 1921 in Smithfield, WV. Emma was a member of Murray Ridge Church of God. She treasured time with her family, volunteered at Hospitality House, Senior Paper and enjoyed bowling.

  Survivors include two daughters, Regina B. Fisher (James) of Grafton. and Mary R. Todd (the late Roger) of Wind Ridge, PA; a son, Raymond H. Gump Jr. of Elyria; additional survivors include numerous grandchildren, several great and great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Olive Weaver of Weirton, WV, Wilma Ensminger (James) of Mannington, WV, and Levinia Crow of Wellsville, OH; and one brother, Elmer Shreve of East Liverpool, OH.

  Emma was preceded in death by her husband Raymond H. Gump Sr.; a son, Michael D. Gump; a grandson, Kevin Todd; three sisters, Geraldine, Marlene and Cindy; five brothers, Arthur, James, William, Francis and Clifford; and her parents, Charles and Hazel Burdine Shreve.

  The family will receive friends from 1-4pm on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at The Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home in Elyria, OH where masks are required. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Rd. Suite 270, Valley View, OH 44125.   Visitation and funeral services will then be held at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 11am-1pm with services beginning at 1pm in the funeral home with Pastor William Coon officiating. Burial will follow at Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery. As we continue to recognize attending services during the COVID-19 situation may not be in the best interest for some, please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
