Ernest Edward “Pete” Glover, age 90 of (Salt Lick) Mannington, WV passed away on Monday, February 29, 2016 at West Virginia University Ruby Memorial Hospital. He was born February 18, 1926 at (Salt Lick) Mannington, WV, son of the late George E. Glover and Hattie M. Hibbs Glover.

She is survived by his wife, Charlotte Fluharty Glover of Mannington; 4 children, Ernest E. “Eddie” Glover Jr. and wife Mona of Mannington, James H. Glover and wife Carol of Mannington, Cara Lee Starsick and husband Mark of Mannington, and Brenda Nissley and husband Bob of Fairmont; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.

Pete was a farmer. He was employed for 38 years at Bethlehem Mines in Barrackville and a member of the UMWA. He also owned and operated Glovers Gulf Service Station in Mannington for 14 years. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran having served in the Pacific Theatre.

There will be no public visitation or funeral services. Per Pete’s request, cremation was chosen as his final method of disposition. Masters Funeral Home is in care of the final arrangements. On-line condolences may be left at www.mastersfuneralhomewv.com.
