Ethel Leanna Spears Kimble went to be with the Lord on June 6, 2024 at the age of 74, in Boothsville, West Virginia. She was born on June 14, 1949 at Fairmont General Hospital, Fairmont, WV to Jack and Betty Spears. Leanna, as she was fondly known, had a passion for her family, animals, and gardening. Her green thumb was evident in the beautiful flowers she nurtured. She found solace in listening to gospel music and enjoyed solving word search puzzles and crafting jewelry.
Leanna is survived by her daughter Tammy Leeson (Larry), son John Kimble (Amy), granddaughter Haile Patterson (Michael), Gloria Kimble, great-grandchildren Braydyn, Adrayn, Kaidyn, Trent, her sisters Carolyn Weekly (Don), Carolyne Postle (Matt), brothers Bill Spears (Judy), Ricky Spears (Karen), Dave Spears, Joe Spears (Arlene), and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Alan Kimble, son Richard Kimble, parents Jack and Betty Spears, and brothers Delmont, Larry, and Timmy Spears.
Special thanks to the nurses at WVU Hospice and Chaplain Todd for making Leanna comfortable in her time of need. Also, thank you to Margaret Greaver at Essential Needs for being her aide and friend.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on Sunday, June 9, 2024 from 3-6pm, followed by a memorial service at 6:00pm officiated by Chaplain Todd Syruwf at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV who is assisting with the arrangements for Leanna’s final journey. May she rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Masters Funeral Home, 209 E Main Street, Mannington, WV 26582 to help on funeral expenses.
