Geraldine Sue Gump, age 80 of Mannington, WV passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Fairmont Health and Rehab Center. She was born May 30, 1945 in Harrison County, WV, a daughter of the late Gerald Holbert and Flora Holbert Stevens. Sue was also preceded in death by her husband Luther Gump with whom she was married to for 56 years, as well as her two sisters, Paula Pownell and Sandy Kelly.
She is survived by her three children, James Gump of Idaho, Scott Gump of Ontario, Canada, and Christina Nelmes of Hockley, Texas, 9 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and her brother John Holbert of Mannington. Sue was a Pentecostal by Faith.
There will be no funeral home services at this time as direct cremation has been chosen as the final method of disposition. A Celebration of Life will be held a later date at the convenience of the family. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington, WV has been placed in care of the final arrangements.
