Gladys Greathouse Burdine, 84 of Hundred, WV passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012. She was born June 26, 1928 at Wileyville, WV, a daughter of the late James and Ola Greathouse.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Burdine; seven children, James Burdine of Colliers, WV, Jerry Burdine of Hundred, WV, Joseph Burdine of Weirton, WV, Kathleen Burdine, who lived at home and cared for her mother, Kathryn Burdine of Weirton, WV, Maxine Burdine of Littleton, WV, and Gary Burdine of New Freeport, PA; 13 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; three sisters, Nettie Greathouse of Burton, WV, Madge Baker of Wileyville, WV and Mary Jane Hawkins of New Martinsville, WV.
Gladys was Pentecostal by faith. She attended the F. Baptist Church of Rock Camp. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, Gladys was preceded in death by an infant sister, Agnes; brother, Dutch Greathouse; sister, Ruth Greathouse and brother, Jake Greathouse.
Family and Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main Street, Mannington, WV on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 from 11 A.M. - 1 P.M. with funeral services beginning at 1:00 P.M. in the funeral home with Dr. Evangelist Everett Shreve officiating. I am sorry to hear about the death of your mother. She was a good friend of my moms and we have had lots of ties with your family in various ways through the years, especially through church.
