Glenn Straight, Jr., 80 of Mannington, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at his residence. He was born March 29, 1932 in Seven Pines, WV, a son of the late Glen C. Straight and Evelyn Hazel Batson Straight of Rachel.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Rosalie Delaney Straight; 3 sons, Steven Straight of Kirby, PA, Jason Straight and wife Kathy of Metz, and Joe Gilbert of Metz; 3 daughters, Linda Harker and husband Ernest of Wadestown, Brenda Amos and husband Paul of Metz, and Vickey Sigley and husband Junior of Kirby, PA; one brother, Don Straight and wife Connie of Four States; 4 sisters, Wanda Iddings and husband Bill of Mannnigton, Jean Gibson of Indiana, Shirley Garrison and husband John of Florida, and Donna Gump and husband Robert of Rachel; 12 grandchildren, Cadence, Aubrey, and Madison Straight; Aaron and Josh Amos, Randi Gilbert, Maralie Kuneff and husband Daniel, Vanessa Martin and husband Travis, Amanda Sigley, Jeremy Sigley and wife Amanda, Claude Sigley and wife Melissa, and Tina Murray and husband Joe; 4 great-grandchildren, Ashley and Cecil Ritenour, Quince Sigley, Remington Murray, and Gunner Jenkins; one great-great-grandchild, Nevaeh Diamond Ritenour; 3 brother-in-laws, Leo Delaney and wife Elva, Jack Delaney and wife Patty, and Charles Kenneth Delaney and wife Linda; one sister-in-law, Jewell Delaney.
In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Mary Jo Garrison of Rachel and Iona Brandon of Indiana; his mother-in-law, Georgia Delaney of Metz; and his first wife, Wanda Brownfield.
Glen was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was employed at Alasky’s in Farmington for 59 years until his illness. He enjoyed watching baseball and football and having family gatherings at his home. He also loved and enjoyed his grandchildren.
Family and Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Thursday, January 17, 2013 from 1-9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 18, 2013 in the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Lee Bowman officiating.
