Gloria Dale Eddy

Gloria Dale Eddy, age 77, of Mannington, WV passed away on February 16, 2020 at her daughter Barbara’s residence in Huntington. She was born September 16, 1942 in Haywood, WV, the daughter of the late Edgar Dale King and Algie Fern Sykes Carnes. She is survived by three daughters, Brenda Miller and companion Rick Wilson of Daybrook, WV, Candace and Mike Pope of Mannington, and Barbara McCloud of Huntington; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 8 brothers, Edward and Mary Carnes of Akron, OH, Paul and Ann Carnes of Kearneysville, WV, Homer and Rose Carnes of Joetown, Gerald and Ann Carnes of Mannington, Charles Carnes of Mannington, Donald and Vicky Carnes of Joetown, Timothy and Carolyn Carnes of Mannington, and James and Mary Carnes of Shinnston; one sister, Patty and Robert Hostuttler of Joetown; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by Sydney Carnes who raised her as his daughter; three sisters, Judy Carnes who died at birth, Phyllis Bristow, and Wilma McGinnis; three brothers, Bernard Carnes, Clifford Carnes and Richard Carnes. Gloria enjoyed puzzles, reading and cooking. She loved being outside. Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Thursday, February 20, 2020 from 10:00am to 1:00pm with funeral services beginning at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at the Elizabeth Mason Cemetery in Joetown. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the funeral home towards funeral expenses.
