Goldie Marie Britton, age 92, of Littleton, WV, passed away on Friday, December 19,2025 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown. She was born July 21,1933 at Wadestown, a daughter of the late Noah Wright and Lenora Watson Wright.
Goldie is survived by her sons, Gene (Linda) Britton of Burton and Kevin Wayne Britton of Waynesburg, PA, stepson, Eric Daniel Britton and stepdaughter, Charity Rose Britton, six grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Britton, Christina (Jami) Hostutler, Jessica (Eddie) Kuhn, Serenity Britton, Zaria Britton and Wyatt Britton, six great-grandchildren, Zackary Hostutler, Jakob Hostutler, Trevor Kuhn, Alexander Britton, Mahalah Britton and Ayden Britton, as well as three great-great-grandchildren, Calliope and Waylon Britton and Eleanor “Ellie” Jones. She is also survived by her sister, Shirley Kesterson, of Waynesburg, Pa, two step-brothers, Harry Wright and Bob Wright.
In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Francis Arthur Britton, a great-grandson, Preston Kuhn, a brother, Denzil Wright, sisters, Norma Stewart and Mae Neer, half-brothers and sisters, Matilda Wright, Jim Wright, Donna Wright, Terry Wright, and Mary Wright. Goldie worked various jobs up until she was 82 before retiring, having cooked at various restaurants, including Miss Blue’s Restaurant and Discount Center. She enjoyed quilting and made many beautiful quilts.
There will be no funeral home services as Goldie’s wish was for direct cremation. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date. Masters Funeral Home in Mannington has been placed in care of her arrangements.
