Goldie Evelyn McMasters, 94 of Fairmont, WV and formerly of Campbell’s Run, passed from this life on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the Arbors of Fairmont where she had been a resident for the past twenty months.
She was born at Campbell’s Run, Metz, WV on September 5, 1919, a daughter of the late James and Lovie Pearl Smith Gump.
Goldie was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Robert McMasters on April 17, 1980.
She was a devoted wife, homemaker and mother who showed her love to her daughter and son-in-law in many ways. She enjoyed keeping an immaculate home and loved working word circle puzzle games and playing dominoes.
She is survived by her daughter Betty Lou Goudy and son-in-law Lee Goudy of Fairmont, WV.
Also surviving is a sister, Wilma Dodd of Campbell’s Run, Metz, WV.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter who died at birth, two brothers, James Gump and Howard Gump, and four sisters, Dolora Gump, Lucinda Phillips, Helen St. Clair and Iva Ice.
She accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at Christ United Methodist Church in Fairmont, WV on May 11, 2004 by Pastor Jim Zinn.

Family and Friends may call at Masters Funeral Home, 209 Main St., Mannington, WV on Wednesday, November 20, 2013 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home with Reverend Donald Thomas officiating.
