Harold Lee Moran, age 79 of Flat Run, Mannington, WV who passed away peacefully Sunday, March 3, 2024 at his residence. He was born October 20, 1944 in Flat Run, Mannington, WV, a son of the late Delbert F. Moran and Hazel Marie Higginbotham Moran.
He is survived by two children, Sonny Moran of Mannington and Lisa (David) Dillon of Mannington, 2 grandchildren, Adam and Ashley Dillon of Enterprise and Brandon and Danielle Dillon of Kelleytown, and 3 great-grandchildren, Remington, Hunter, and Reagan Dillon, all of Enterprise. Harold is also survived his sister Barbara (Gary) Hook of Island Lake, IL, his nephew Doug and Jeannie Hook of Island Lake, IL and his niece Deana and Scott McGraw of Island, IL, his aunt Virginia Moran of Mannington, two brothers-in-law, Buck and Marliese Bradley of KY, and Sonny and Kathy Bradley of KY, a sister-in-law Becky Hartzell of Mannington, and a special friend Wilma Ornduff of Mannington.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his wife Iris Louise Bradley Moran, his son James “Jimmy” Moran, and his brother Edward Wayne Moran.
Harold graduated from Mannington High School and enjoyed hunting, fishing and farming. He was an Honorary Member of the Mannington Fire Dept. after being Chief for many years and was a bus driver for the Marion County Board of Education retiring as an Assistant Transportation Director. Harold loved his grandchildren very much and enjoyed watching and supporting them at their sporting events.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 2-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, March 7, 2024 beginning at 11:00am. Interment will follow the Mannington Memorial Park Cemetery.
