Harvey Edward “Toby” Hayes, age 84 of Mannington, West Virginia passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at his residence. He was born July 11, 1942 in Fairmont, WV a son of the late James Harvey Hayes and Katherine Dowdy Hayes.
He is survived by his three children, Gina Prahl and fiancé Charles Freeman of McDonald, PA, Jeff and Megan Hayes of Mannington, and Lana and Rusty Swearingen of Greensboro, PA; grandchildren, Tyler (Destiny) Hayes, Colby (Sierra) Kincell, Dylan Kincell, Shawna Prahl, Shayna Prahl, Bryon Satterfield, Rayden Satterfield, and Laynee Hayes; and seven great-grandchildren. Toby is also survived by two sisters, Judy Hayes Bissett and Sandy Hayes Fluharty, several cousins including Marjorie Muldrew Talkington and Susie Lopez Jodway.
In addition to his parents, Toby was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Charles “Tim” Prahl, and a great-granddaughter Kennison Hayes.
Family and friends may call at Masters Funeral Home in Mannington on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2026 from 2-4:00pm and 6-8:00pm. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday, Sept. 27, 2026 beginning at 11:00am with Pastor Doug Cyphers officiating. Interment will follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmington.
